A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
JOSE R. ORTIZ ORTIZ, LCSW

Since the founding of our organization, we have aspired to maintain a clear vision of the needs of the community and striven to meet these needs through the development of programs and services geared to improve the quality of life of older adults who traditionally have been ignored and underserved.  RAICES’ staff has continuously risen to the occasion through their dedication and commitment to the organization and to the populations we serve.  Their successes are clearly evident, and as a result we have developed a great reputation with our clients and the broader aging network.

Our programs are all experiencing growth to levels that have us needing new larger sites. Making our vision a reality would not be possible without the dedication and support of our staff, volunteers, student interns, participants, friends, colleagues, and public and private funders.  Through their efforts, they have fostered the development and implementation of culturally competent quality programs and services.

At the Spanish Speaking Elderly Council-RAICES we will continue to keep the legacy and vision of Homero and Juanita Rosado alive through the provision of targeted services to minority and low income communities.    We hope to share new success and announce the development of new programs.  With your help we know that we can continue to dream and make our dreams reality.
